Pacific 10 Roundup : Stanford Defeats Washington

Forward Todd Lichti scored 24 points and keyed a second-half surge to lead Stanford to an 82-77 victory over Washington in a Pacific 10 Conference basketball game Thursday night at Palo Alto.

Stanford improved to 9-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference, while Washington slipped to 8-6 and 2-1.

Lichti scored 18 points in the second half to rally Stanford from a 41-35 halftime deficit. He also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

California 92, Washington State 58--Kevin Johnson scored a game-high 22 points at Berkeley to lead the Golden Bears into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10.

Johnson made his first 10 shots, then finished with 10 of 12. Eddie Javius came off the bench to sink 7 of 8 for a career-high 14 points. Cal is 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Joe Wallace scored 11 points for the Cougars (5-5, 2-1).
