Patrice Marie Liebelt, 34, of Yorba Linda, whose unborn child was killed in an automobile accident Saturday, died at UC Irvine Medical Center of injuries she suffered in the accident, a hospital spokesman said. The condition of Liebelt’s husband, Chris, and 5-year-old daughter, Leslie, both of whom were also injured in the accident, improved, a spokeswoman for Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier said. Chris Liebelt was removed from the intensive care unit and Leslie Liebelt was in good condition, the spokeswoman said. The accident occurred Saturday on Yorba Linda Boulevard when a car driven by Patrice Liebelt, who was seven months pregnant, collided head-on with a car driven by Scott Johnson, 25, of Placentia. Johnson was reported in serious condition Monday night at Placentia Linda Community Hospital. The driver of a third car involved in the accident, Carmen Hernandez Martinez, 45, of Yorba Linda, was reported in serious condition at Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo.
