Pasadena : Pay Hike OKd for Staffers

The Board of Directors has approved a maximum 4% salary increase for city managerial personnel in 1987 .
The raise brings the maximum pay range of the city’s 18 executive managers to $90,598 (for the city manager) to $47,731 (for the city clerk). The actual salaries can be 20% lower than the maximum. The city has not disclosed the exact amount its managers will make this year.
The city also employs 44 top managers, 90 middle managers and 71 professional managers, who are also in line for the maximum 4% raise.
The salary increase is expected to cost the city $745,148.
