Lakewood : 5 to Run for 1 Council Seat
Four candidates will be running in the March 3 special election for a Lakewood City Council vacancy created by former Councilman Paul E. Zeltner’s election to the Assembly in November.
Candidates who filed nomination papers with the city clerk by the Dec. 26 closing date are Wayne E. Piercy, 55, principal of Polytechnic High School in Long Beach; Richard L. Brown Jr., 24, a financial planner; Russell L. Godin, 51, a developer; and Bob Trimble, 60, a building maintenance contractor.
One will be elected to fill the remaining year of Zeltner’s four-year council term, which expires in April, 1988.
