Police said Friday that they were looking for a man in his mid-30s who, armed with a semiautomatic handgun, robbed a liquor store of more than $10,000.
Police Lt. Chuck Poe said the man entered Mario’s Liquor Deli in the 17200 block of Beach Boulevard at 4 p.m. Thursday and drew a blue steel semiautomatic handgun from under his red and white plaid jacket, Lt. Chuck Poe said.
The robber then demanded money from the cash register and a safe inside the store and fled with between $10,000 and $13,000 in cash, Poe said.
The man was described as 6 feet, 3 inches tall with a medium build and a mustache, Poe said.
