Reagan Plans Light Work Week
President Reagan, pushed to address his worst political crisis in next week’s televised State of the Union speech, returned to the White House today to face another week of light work outside the public eye.
Reagan, who has not answered questions about the Iran arms- contra aid scandal in more than two months, and his wife, Nancy, returned from Camp David, Md., after an extended weekend in the mountains. Cold, winter rain prevented the Reagans from making the trip by helicopter. Instead, they returned to Washington by motorcade, ducking back into the White House grounds without facing reporters and photographers.
