The Ohlmeyer Communications Co. has signed an exclusive agreement to market unbeaten Mike Tyson, the youngest fighter to win a heavyweight championship.
The agreement was made with Tyson’s co-managers, Jimmy Jacobs and Bill Cayton, who operate the world’s largest fight-film business.
The 20-year-old Tyson is the only athlete handled by Ohlmeyer Communications, which is in the business of sports production and the management of sports events.
“We’re interested in marketing and licensing activities, which is our area of expertise,” said John Martin, president of Ohlmeyer Communications.
Ohlmeyer Communications is headed by Don Ohlmeyer, former executive producer for NBC-TV Sports.
