Falling Slab Hurts Worker

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A 10-by-30-foot concrete slab plunged about 60 feet from a building under construction in downtown Charlotte on Tuesday, injuring one worker, authorities said. The worker suffered a fractured leg and possible internal injuries, a fire official said.
