San Pedro : Program Awarded $215,000
Harbor View House, a San Pedro residential program serving chronically mentally ill adults, has been awarded a $215,000 contract by the county Board of Supervisors to continue providing free room, board and counseling for the mentally ill who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless.
County officials said the facility at 921 S. Beacon St. is licensed to care for 204 mentally ill adults and has created a program that provides six additional beds on a short-term basis for the homeless or for those who are threatened with homelessness.
