Redondo Beach : Utility Overcharge Refunds
An ordinance was introduced by the City Council that would require the city to refund any overpaid utility users’ taxes when utility companies are ordered to make service charge refunds by the state Public Utilities Commission.
The ordinance, if adopted at the council’s Feb. 3 meeting, would allow such refunds to be made in the form of a tax credit on future utility bills.
