Torrance resident Barbara Malmo and Marina Del Rey resident Rayme Hunt, members of the Crockett family that came to Inglewood in 1903, will be honored with their families at the 97th anniversary of First Presbyterian Church of Inglewood. Both have served as deacons and elders at the church

Celina A. Hall and Robert F. Warren of Torrance have announced their engagement. Hall, a computer operator at Ensign Industries in Lawndale, and Warren, a manufacturing engineer with Northrop’s electronics division, will be married Aug. 22.

Ruth DiTomassa of Hawthorne and Chris Pendersen of Inglewood have been honored by the Los Angeles chapter of the American Red Cross for volunteer service.

Jan Bunker of Torrance and Danny Jesser of Redondo Beach received first-place honors in the 10th Kentucky Fried Chicken amateur songwriting contest, which drew 45,000 entries. They won trips to Nashville, Tenn., to have their songs recorded.

Bobbie Jarman of Palos Verdes Estates has been selected as Women of the Year for the Palos Verdes chapter of Hadassah. Jarman, a life member of Hadassah and vice president of fund-raising for the chapter, will be honored at a dinner dance Jan. 25.
