More than 4,500 black protesters chanting slogans to the beat of pounding drums marched in Manhattan during a daylong demonstration of “outrage” against the Howard Beach racial attack. They linked arms in a moment of silence in Brooklyn to remember Michael Griffith, 23, whose death in the Dec. 20 attack has fueled racial tensions in the city.
