A woman wanted in connection with a killing in Colorado walked into the downtown San Diego police station Sunday morning and turned herself in, a police spokesman said.

Police Sgt. Leon Pearce said Amber Hare, 30, showed up at the central station just after 11 a.m. and told officers that she was wanted on murder charges in Colorado. A telephone call by San Diego police confirmed that there was a warrant for Hare’s arrest, Pearce said.

She was being held at County Jail at Las Colinas pending extradition to Colorado. No details of the killing or the specific charges against Hare were available, Pearce said.
