Los Angeles police have arrested two brothers on suspicion of murder in the drug- and gang-related death of a Lake View Terrace man, detectives said Tuesday.

James Edward Jordan, 19, and Raymond Earl Jordan, 21, both of Van Nuys, were arrested late Monday, Detective Al Ferrand said. Saying the investigation is continuing, Ferrand would not discuss details of the arrests or of how gangs and drugs were linked to the slaying of Warren Kenneth Wilson, 22.

Wilson was killed late Friday in an apartment building on Pierce Street in Pacoima, Ferrand said. Wilson stumbled across the street to the grounds of Maclay Junior High School before he collapsed and died of a single gunshot wound in his chest, he said. The body was not discovered until Sunday afternoon, Ferrand said.

The brothers were being held without bail Tuesday at Foothill Division Jail and were expected to be arraigned Thursday in San Fernando Municipal Court, Ferrand said.

Drugs sales and use are common at the apartment complex where the killing took place, Ferrand said, adding that “a large amount of money” was found in the Van Nuys apartment where police arrested the brothers.
