New Yorkers are toasting the Lyon Opera Ballet, now in the second week of the company’s first American engagement. Critics praised Tuesday night’s City Center premiere of “Mama Sunday Monday or Always,” which features nine dancers attired in multi-layered chiffon petticoats peeping out from under trenchcoats. The ballet will bring its controversial “Cinderalla” to Los Angeles in September.
