Fire officials Sunday were investigating the cause of a fire in an Encino office building that caused $300,000 damage to one office, authorities said.

Eleven fire companies were sent to the six-story building at 16830 Ventura Blvd. at 10:30 p.m. Friday, said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells. The fire was confined to one office and controlled within half an hour, he said. No injuries were reported.
