Hard Rock Cafe Charity Event Will Benefit LIFE Food Bank

Monies from the sale of all meals and beverages at the Hard Rock Cafe on Monday will benefit the food bank, Love Is Feeding Everyone (LIFE). A number of TV, film and recording artists also will be on hand from 7 to 9 p.m. to assist.

Celebrities scheduled to appear include Dick Clark, Emilio Estevez, Muhammad Ali, Lily Tomlin, John Ritter, Maud Adams and Mayor Tom Bradley.

The benefit is open to the public; those who attend are asked to bring non-perishable food items, which will be collected at the door.

LIFE, founded in 1983 by actors Dennis Weaver and Valerie Harper, dispenses donated foods to community groups throughout the Los Angeles area. The group’s representatives estimate that their efforts benefit about 30,000 needy people each week.

Hard Rock Cafe, 8600 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, will maintain its regular menu and prices for the event.
