‘Skid Row Killer’ Identified
A man found dead last October, the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was identified today as the “Skid Row Killer,” who police believe was responsible for the deaths of 11 transients last fall, according to Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl F. Gates.
The man, whose body was discovered in a motel room, has been identified as Michael Player, 26. Gates said Player was linked to the killings by “ballistics (tests), physical evidence and witness identification.”
