Senior Jeff Williams had 22 kills and 16 digs to lead UCLA as the Briuns defeated USC, 13-15, 15-7, 15-3, 15-5, in front of 2,623 in the championship match of the UCLA volleyball tournament Saturday night at Pauley Pavilion.

USC won the first game, 15-13, but it was costly, as the Trojans expended themselves and had nothing left for the rest of the match. After losing the first game, the Bruins coasted, winning three straight. The second-ranked Bruins had 29 blocks compared to 16 for No. 4 USC.

UCLA is 16-3. USC dropped to 11-4. It was the Bruins’ second win over USC, having defeated the Trojans earlier this season in the Kilgour Cup.
