The struggling Lazers will try to snap a seven-game Major Indoor Soccer League losing streak when they play the Kansas City Comets tonight in Kansas City, Mo.

The most recent loss for the Lazers (6-17) was an 8-0 shutout at the hands of the San Diego Sockers Friday night. Kansas City (11-14) is coming off an 8-5 victory over the 2-21 New York Express.

Mark Steffens has been named coach of the Comets for the remainder of the season, replacing the fired Rick Benben. The Lazers are expected to name Keith Tozer, player-coach of the Louisville Thunder of the American Indoor Soccer Assn., to replace Peter Wall.
