Blue Angel Pilot Ejects Safely

The pilot of a Navy F-18 Hornet ejected safely today before the jet he was using as part of the Blue Angels precision flying team crashed during a training flight about eight miles north of El Centro. The pilot was taken to the dispensary at Naval Air Station El Centro for examination. His identity was not immediately available.
