Santa Monica : Superior Court Judge Named
Gov. George Deukmejian has appointed Los Angeles Municipal Court Judge Valerie L. Baker to the Superior Court.
Baker, 37, of Santa Monica replaces Judge Dan Kaufmann, who retired. She was appointed to the Municipal Court by the governor last year.
She holds degrees from UC Santa Barbara and UCLA, and is a member of the National Assn. of Women Judges, the Los Angeles Municipal Court Assn. and the California Judges Assn.
