Mission Viejo : Long Beach Man Hurt in Freeway Accident
A man described as “extremely intoxicated” was injured Friday on Interstate 5 near Mission Viejo after he lost control of his car and crashed into a concrete bridge, authorities said.
Niddo Ryal, 26, of Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving shortly after he was taken to Saddleback Community Hospital in Laguna Hills for treatment of moderate injuries, California Highway Patrol Officer Elvin Yamaguchi said.
Ryal had been speeding and swerving from lane to lane about 1:25 a.m. when his car hit a center divider and then crashed into a bridge near Aliso Creek Road, Yamaguchi said.
