UCI’s Walker Advances to Tennis Final

Miles Walker of UC Irvine upset the Nos. 1 and 3 seeded players of the San Diego Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament Friday at the University of San Diego to advance to the individual final.

Walker upset top-seed Greg Failla of Cal State Long Beach, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, in the quarterfinals and then beat No. 3 Julio Noriegea of San Diego State in the semifinal, 7-6, 4-6, 6-0.

Walker will play Kevin Gillette of Cal State Long Beach for the individual championship today at 11 a.m.
