French soccer star Michel Platini and his family escaped unhurt from an automobile accident over the weekend near Turin, Italy.
Platini, playmaker of defending champion Juventus of the Italian League, walked away from the accident and will not miss any matches, the Turin daily La Stampa reported.
The accident occurred late Saturday night as Platini, wife Christine and children Laurent and Marine, drove away from a restaurant after dinner, according to La Stampa. Christine and Marine were hit on the head, suffering light concussions, but were not hospitalized.
