Woman Killed by Car Near Mall of Orange
A 47-year-old woman was fatally injured when she was struck by a car while crossing the street near the Mall of Orange in Orange, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Georgina Wilcox of Orange, was pronounced dead on arrival at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana shortly after the accident at 8:57 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the car’s driver was questioned but not cited because Wilcox was believed to have dashed across North Tustin Avenue between intersections without warning.
