Inmate Found Hanged

The body of a 23-year-old inmate was found hanging from a bar in his one-man cell at the Los Angeles County Jail on Friday, sheriff’s deputies reported. Deputy Stephen Lee said the prisoner, identified as Frank Ponce of El Monte, was in custody on a minor narcotics charge.
Lee said Ponce hanged himself with a strip of blanket.
