Fullerton Plays at Santa Barbara
Cal State Fullerton can get back to the .500 mark in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball tonight with a win at UC Santa Barbara. That may not seem like such a big deal, but in a conference race in which most teams seem to be running in place, it can mean second place.
The Titans (14-10 overall, 7-8 in the PCAA) will start the game--their last on the road--in a four-way tie for fourth. Santa Barbara (12-11, 7-7) is alone in third. The Gauchos moved into that position with a 53-52 win over San Jose State Thursday night at Santa Barbara.
The Gauchos handed Fullerton one of three straight home-court losses in January. Fullerton scored a season-low 47 points in that defeat, then went on to extend its losing streak to six games before rebounding with five straight victories.
