Steve Martin, Barbra Streisand, oil magnate Armand Hammer and about a dozen other Los Angeles residents are listed among the country’s 100 top art collectors in next month’s issue of Art and Antiques magazine. Each was cited for having “a passion for art, faith in their own taste and the intelligence to trust their convictions,” said a magazine spokesman. Martin collects 20th-Century American paintings, Streisand collects early American pieces and Hammer is well known for his collection of Old Masters and Impressionist art. Also making the magazine’s third annual list are singer Andy Williams, businessman Frederick R. Weisman, producer David Geffen and real-estate baron Eli Broad.
