An investigation of an alleged sexual assault led to the arrests of three men after officers “stumbled” onto more than $1 million worth of cocaine and marijuana, police said.

Six pounds of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana and about $8,000 in cash were seized Sunday after police searched two apartments on the 9000 block of Imperial Highway, said Downey police Detective Dave Kelly.

Police were investigating an alleged sexual assault on a 13-year-old Inglewood girl at one of the apartments when they discovered some narcotics and obtained a search warrant, Kelly said.
