Driver Killed When Car Goes Over Cliff
An unidentified man was killed Thursday afternoon when the vehicle he was driving ran off a road and plunged over a cliff on a country road near Castaic, the California Highway Patrol said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the 3 p.m. accident on Old Highway 99, about 4 1/2 miles north of Templin Highway near Frenchmans Flats Campground, Officer Monty Kiefer said.
