The Pros Are Finally Put in Their Place
You finally got it right!
On Feb. 17, the lead story on the sports page was about Jackie Chesley, the girl who is having a lot of fun as a starter of Lee Vining’s boy’s basketball team.
Appropriately buried on the back pages were blurbs on Hershiser’s greed, Washburn’s drugs and Gerald Henderson’s petty little snit with Tom Chambers. Real newsworthy stuff!
Keep it up, Times. With pros like these, almost all of your readers would rather follow the adventures of the high school kids.
