Lazers Trade Molano to Dallas, Receive Leite

The Lazers traded forward Willie Molano to the Dallas Sidekicks for Marcio Leite, team President Jim Buss announced Wednesday.

Leite, 27, the Sidekicks’ second-leadtng scorer this season with 19 goals and 10 assists, is a six-year veteran of the Major Indoor Soccer League.

Molano, who has been with the Lazers since they joined the league in 1982, started this season with seven goals in his first six games before suffering a dislocated shoulder Dec. 11. After returning Jan. 20, Molano, 26, has managed to score just three goals and two assists.
