Pedestrian, 67, Struck and Killed
A 67-year-old woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck Monday evening as she walked across Golden West Street in Westminster, police reported.
The victim, Cristina Vasquez of Westminster, was crossing Golden West at Wyoming Street, an intersection that is unmarked for pedestrian access, said Police Investigator Mark Groh.
Groh said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:46 p.m. accident.
Witnesses reported no indication that the truck was speeding, Groh said. No charges have been filed but an investigation is continuing.
