The first lawsuit stemming from the sinking of the Fish’n Fool has been filed by the widow of one of the 10 victims killed in the accident off Baja California last month. The wrongful death suit, filed in federal court in Los Angeles on behalf of Myrna Milam of Norco, seeks unspecified damages. Milam’s husband, Terry, died in the Feb. 5 accident. Defendants named in the suit are Bernst Inc., owner of the boat; Fish’n Fool Inc., which leased the vessel, and H & M Sportfishing Landing of Point Loma.
