The Region : 3 Hunted After L.A. School Official Dies

Three people were being hunted after their car sped through a red light during a chase by sheriff’s deputies and crashed into the automobile of a high school official, killing her. Carrie T. Breaux, 50, head counselor and vice principal at Ramona High School in Los Angeles, was driving home after teaching a night class at Pepperdine University when her car was struck broadside at Martin Luther King Jr. and Degnan boulevards in South-Central Los Angeles, officers said. She died a short time later at Brotman Medical Center. The three men in the car fled on foot, eluding a search that was aided by police dogs. The car, registered to Tijuana Auto in Rosales, Mexico, had not been reported stolen, officers said.
