“Jukebox Classics, Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2.” Rhino. AAD. You could say that Rhino, the most reliable of the CD repackagers, deserves credit for duplicating the wide range of music you might actually have found on a jukebox during rock’s early days: the entries on Vol. 1 range from (on the good side) Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally” to (on the weak side) Frankie Avalon’s “Venus,” while Vol. 2 moves from Jerry Lee’s “Great Balls of Fire” to Fabian’s “Tiger.” But I’d have gladly traded some of the variety for more truly classic rock. Both sets are 16 songs and about 40 minutes. Sound quality: good.
