Billy Idol fulfilled a dream Monday by shooting a music video at Miami’s engineering oddity, the Coral Castle. Idol said the Castle, sort of Miami’s version of the Watts Towers, inspired his new single “Sweet Sixteen.” The castle, built by a heartbroken Edward Leedskalnin after being dumped by a 16-year-old girl he had planned to marry, has baffled engineers for years. Its perfectly balanced one-ton doors can be pushed open with one finger. Castle manager Clell Villella was not as impressed with Idol as Idol was with his surroundings. “Sure it gets us in the public eye, but we’ve had Julio Iglesias here,” Villella said.
