Lomita : Substance-Abuse Program
The City Council voted unanimously to allocate $2,500 to Project SMART, a substance-abuse program aimed at elementary school children at Eschelman Avenue and Lomita Magnet schools. The program includes classroom instruction by teachers and sheriff’s personnel, parent education and community involvement.
