Redondo Beach : Law Against Street Sales
The City Council has introduced an ordinance to prohibit use of sidewalks and road medians for sale of fruit, flowers and other products to motorists and passengers.
The ordinance would also prohibit workers from seeking employment from drivers, a perennial problem along Artesia Boulevard. City Atty. Gordon C. Phillips said the ordinance is intended to maintain traffic flow and reduce safety hazards.
If final approval is granted at the council’s April 7 meeting, the ordinance would take effect in early May.
