Roger Clemens, unable to come to contract...
Roger Clemens, unable to come to contract terms with the Boston Red Sox, has returned to his home in Houston and has been working out at his old high school since Tuesday. He pitched batting practice Thursday to the Spring Woods High baseball team.
Clemens, who helped the Red Sox advance to the World Series last year, left the Red Sox camp in Winter Haven, Fla., two weeks ago after contract talks broke down.
The team has rejected both one- and two-year offers proposed by Clemens. The team automatically renewed Clemens’ contract at $400,000 and is fining him $1,000 for each day he misses camp.
