Prince Bobby B. Romps at Santa Anita
Prince Bobby B. took command after a half-mile in breezing to a 5 1/2-length victory over Exclusive Partner Saturday in the $64,900 Sierra Madre Handicap, run before a crowd of 29,031 at Santa Anita.
Prince Bobby B., ridden by Fernando Toro and carrying 118 pounds, covered 6 1/2 furlongs on a Santa Anita turf course labeled good despite some rain in 1:14 4/5 and paid $7.60, $4.60 and $3.
The victory was the fourth in eight starts on turf for Prince Bobby B. and his fifth overall in 17 lifetime starts. It was worth $37,900, raising the career earnings of the 4-year-old son of King Pellinore to $238,805.
Exclusive Partner, ridden by Chris McCarron, crossed the finish line three-quarters of a length in front of Grand Allegiance.
