A Costa Mesa savings and loan was robbed Saturday by a blond man wearing a fisherman’s hat and tinted glasses who fled with $590 in cash, police said.
The robber entered California Federal Savings at 2700 Harbor Blvd. about 12:40 p.m. and showed a note to a teller demanding cash and indicating he had a gun, Police Sgt. Tom Curtis said.
The man was described as 20 to 30 years of age, about 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, with blue or hazel eyes and a mustache. He was wearing a striped brown shirt, Curtis said.
