Palm Springs law enforcement officials have arrested 619 people, handed out more than 4,132 citations and picked up 288 youths on curfew violations since the town met a 10-day invasion of vacationing students with a police crackdown, authorities said. Strict law enforcement has been credited with preventing a repeat of a melee that broke out last Easter weekend.
