Public TV’s “Frontline” series on Wednesday pulled a two-part report on the growth of the fundamentalist religious movement and its impact on American politics that was scheduled for May 12 and 19. David Fanning, executive producer, issued a statement saying the report had become “outdated” due to the “recent turmoil” surrounding the PTL Club and evangelist James Bakker. Plans call for re-editing of the documentary for a later broadcast.
