Sri Lankan air force helicopters hit Tamil guerrilla positions for the fourth straight day in retaliation for a bomb blast in Colombo last Tuesday that killed 106 people and injured about 300. Saturday’s strike was centered in the Tamils’ northern stronghold of Jaffna, where rebels were setting up machine-gun emplacements, the government reported.
