Alan Rachins, who plays Douglas Brackman Jr., the abrasive managing partner in NBC’s “L.A. Law,” went into L.A. Municipal Court last week and got three parking tickets dismissed. “There’s a space near my house that’s an abandoned driveway and faces a fence,” Rachins said. “We’ve been parking there for about five years without a ticket. Suddenly, I get three tickets starting about a month ago. (So) I figured I ought to test the system and see if it works. I took pictures of the parking space and went into court.” Rachins showed the pictures and argued that it was a legal parking space. The verdict: innocent.
