Livsey Will Return to Orange Coast Job

Herb Livsey, part-time assistant basketball coach at Arizona State, will not return to the Sun Devils’ staff for the 1987-88 season, Coach Steve Patterson said Tuesday.

Livsey, 50, who worked two years at Arizona State, will return to his teaching duties at Orange Coast College, where he has been on a leave of absence. Livsey was the Pirates’ head basketball coach from 1969 to 1976, compiling a record of 74-122. He has also served as a part-time assistant coach at UC Irvine.
