Garden Grove : 1 Man Shot, Another Beaten at Restaurant
An Irvine man was shot in the head and his twin brother was beaten Thursday night at a restaurant here, police said.
The shooting victim, identified as Dung Phan, 25, was in stable condition at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, police said. His brother, Hung Dinh Phan of Westminster, was treated for cuts and bruises at Medical Center of Garden Grove and released.
Officers said the two men were in Soudang Restaurant at 10546 Westminster Ave. at about 8:30 p.m. when 10 men entered the restaurant and ordered drinks.
When the group left shortly afterward, the Phan brothers followed them into the parking lot, where a fight broke out.
Officers said that when the brothers returned to the restaurant, about four from the other group followed them in and one shot Dung Phan in the head with a handgun.
