Three Mexican professional soccer players died after their bus overturned on a damp highway 225 miles northeast of Mexico City, a Red Cross spokesman said.
The bus carrying the University of Queretaro soccer squad was returning after a Sunday game in Ciudad Victoria against the University of Tamaulipas. The Red Cross spokesman said Gerardo Corona, 24; Agustin Jimenez, 27, and Rene Montalvo, 22, were killed in the accident.
